Echo Chainsaw Chains

Replacement chain for Echo chainsaws, top-handle arborist saws and PPF / PPT power pruners — CS-310, CS-352, CS-400, CS-2511TES, CS-362TES, CS-490, CS-501, CS-590 Timber Wolf, CS-620P, CS-680, CS-7310SX and CS-800P. Alpine chain is semi-chisel, made to the same pitch, gauge and drive-link count as the Echo loop it replaces, so it runs on the same bar and sprocket. Every order is checked against your saw model before it ships; that is the Guaranteed Fit.

Which chain does your Echo take?

Echo uses four chain specs across the range, and every power pruner shares one of them. The pitch and gauge are stamped on the bar near the mount.

  • 3/8" low profile, .050" (1.3 mm) gauge — CS-310, CS-352, CS-400, the CS-2511TES and CS-362TES top-handles, and every PPF / PPT power pruner (10" bar, 39 drive links). Alpine LT50.
  • .325" pitch, .058" (1.5 mm) gauge — CS-490, CS-501P and CS-501SX. Alpine EN58.
  • 3/8" pitch, .058" (1.5 mm) gauge — CS-590 Timber Wolf, CS-620P, CS-680 and CS-7310SX. Alpine PF58.
  • 3/8" pitch, .063" (1.6 mm) gauge — CS-800P. Alpine PF63.

If the stamp is gone, follow the measuring guide or send us a photo and the model number; we confirm the size before anything ships.

Echo chain by model

Every row is one bar length on one saw: match the drive-link count and the pitch × gauge to the stamp on your bar, then click the Alpine chain to order. Each order is checked against the saw model before it ships — the Guaranteed Fit.

Echo chain questions

What size chain does my Echo chainsaw take?

The CS-310 takes 3/8" low profile .050" chain, 52 drive links on the 14" bar and 56 on the 16" (Alpine LT50-S-52 / LT50-S-56). The CS-352 is 52 or 57 links, the CS-400 is 57 or 62, the CS-2511TES 45 or 52. The CS-490 and CS-501 run .325" .058"; the CS-590 Timber Wolf, CS-620P, CS-680 and CS-7310SX run 3/8" .058"; the CS-800P runs 3/8" .063". The table above lists every bar length.

Do all Echo chainsaws use the same chain?

No. The homeowner saws, top-handles and power pruners share 3/8" low profile .050" chain, but the CS-490 / CS-501 move to .325" .058", the 59 cc and larger saws to 3/8" .058", and the CS-800P to 3/8" .063". Match pitch, gauge and drive-link count, not just the bar length.

Will an Oregon chain work on an Echo chainsaw?

Yes. Echo bars take any chain of the same pitch, gauge and link count. Oregon 91PX = Alpine LT50 (CS-310 / 352 / 400 / 2511TES / 362TES / power pruners); 21BPX = EN58 (CS-490 / CS-501); 73LPX = PF58 (CS-590 / 620P / 680 / 7310SX); 75LPX = PF63 (CS-800P).

What chain fits an Echo PPT or PPF power pruner?

Every Echo power pruner in the range — PPF-210, PPF-225, PPF-280, PPT-230, PPT-260, PPT-265, PPT-266 and PPT-280 — runs the same 10" loop: 3/8" low profile, .050" gauge, 39 drive links. Alpine LT50-S-39.

How fast can I get an Echo chain in Australia?

Loops ship from Melbourne the same or next business day. Standard shipping is free on orders over $50 and express shipping is free over $100, so a set of three loops for a CS-310 ships free.
