Baumr-AG Chainsaw Chains
Replacement chain for Baumr-AG chainsaws, the SW4 40V battery saw and the SMX multi-tool pole saws. Baumr-AG saws run standard chain sizes, so the fit is about the three numbers stamped on the bar — pitch, gauge and drive-link count — not the badge. Alpine chain is semi-chisel, made to the same spec as the loop that came on the saw. Every order is checked against your saw model before it ships; that is the Guaranteed Fit.
Which chain does your Baumr-AG take?
- 3/8" low profile, .050" (1.3 mm) gauge — SX25 (10" bar, 40 drive links), SW4 40V (12" 45 links, 14" 52 links) and the SMX220, SMX720 and SMX920 multi-tool pole saws (12" bar, 45 links). Alpine LT50.
- .325" pitch, .058" (1.5 mm) gauge — SX62 (20" bar, 76 links) and SX66 (16" 66, 18" 72, 20" 76). Alpine EN58.
- 3/8" pitch, .063" (1.6 mm) gauge — SX72 (20" 72, 24" 84) and SX92 (24" 84). Alpine PF63.
If the stamp is gone, follow the measuring guide or send us a photo and the model number; we confirm the size before anything ships.
Baumr-AG chain by model
Every row is one bar length on one saw: match the drive-link count and the pitch × gauge to the stamp on your bar, then click the Alpine chain to order. Each order is checked against the saw model before it ships — the Guaranteed Fit.

Baumr-AG chain questions
Which chain fits the Baumr-AG SX62 and SX66?
.325" pitch, .058" (1.5 mm) gauge. The SX62 runs 76 drive links on its 20" bar (Alpine EN58-S-76); the SX66 runs 66 links on 16", 72 on 18" and 76 on 20" (EN58-S-66 / -72 / -76). Same spec as the Oregon 21BPX.
Do Baumr-AG saws take standard chain?
Yes. Every Baumr-AG saw uses a common pitch and gauge — 3/8" low profile .050", .325" .058" or 3/8" .063" — so Alpine, Oregon and other aftermarket loops fit as long as the drive-link count matches your bar. There is nothing proprietary about the bar or sprocket.
Which chain fits the SMX multi-tool pole saw?
The SMX220, SMX720 and SMX920 pole saw heads all run a 12" bar with 3/8" low profile, .050" gauge, 45 drive link chain — Alpine LT50-S-45. The SW4 40V saw takes the same loop on its 12" bar.
My Baumr-AG chain keeps going loose. Is the chain wrong?
Usually not. A new loop stretches in its first tank of fuel as the rivets bed in; re-tension it warm after the first few cuts and again after the first tank. Use the snap test to set it: the chain should pull away from the bar and snap back. If it keeps loosening after that, check the tensioner screw and the bar studs.
