Battery Optimised: The .043" narrow-kerf profile removes less wood per pass, reducing load on the LXT motor and extending runtime per charge.

Makita DUA200Z Chain Questions
What size chain does a Makita DUA200Z take?
.325" pitch, .043" (1.1mm) gauge, 38 drive links on the 200mm (8") bar. Note this is not the 3/8" LP chain used on most other 8" pole saws — the DUA200 is one of the exceptions.
Why is the DUA200 a different pitch to other 8" pole saws?
Most 8" pole saws run 3/8" low profile. Makita specced the DUA200 with a .325" narrow-kerf chain instead, which is why a standard 8" replacement chain won't fit. Always check the pitch stamped on your bar.
What file do I use on this chain?
A 4.8mm (3/16") round file suits this .325" chain.
Is this a genuine Makita chain?
No — it's an Alpine Chain Co. chain manufactured to the same specification, replacing the Makita 1914S1-7 and Oregon 80TXL. Same pitch, gauge and drive link count, with a semi-chisel profile chosen for Australian hardwood. Every fit is backed by our Guaranteed Fit system.
How to Verify Your Chain Size
If you are unsure if this is the correct chain for your Makita DUA200Z, check the side of your current guide bar. The Pitch, Gauge, and Drive Link (DL) count are typically stamped directly into the bar near the mounting bolts.
