Ferrex 10" Bars Come in Two Lengths — Count Your Drive Links

Ferrex and Gardenline 10" pole saw bars ship in both 39 and 40 drive links. Both are 3/8" LP in .050" gauge, and both are sold as "10 inch". One drive link apart, and they are not interchangeable — a 39DL chain on a 40DL bar will not tension, and a 40DL chain on a 39DL bar runs slack and derails.

This chain is the 39 drive link version. It suits bars stamped AL10-39-507P and equivalents. If your bar is stamped 40DL, you need our 40 drive link chain instead.

Ferrex is an ALDI Special Buys brand with no continuous model numbering — the same tool name has been released across several seasons with different bars fitted. The model name will not tell you which chain you need. The bar stamp will. If the stamp has worn off, count the drive links on your old chain.
